Required knowledge

  • calculation of magnetic field of an infinite straight conductor
  • calculation of voltage induced by sinusoidal magnetic field in a rectangular loop
  • calculation of capacitance between straight conductors
  • calculation of resistance of a wire with rectangular cross section
  • ability to model EMC phenomenons: inductive, capacitive and galvanic coupling
  • ability to measure different EMC phenomenons
  • to be familiar with theory of power line filters
