Objectives, learning outcomes and obtained knowledge

The primary aim of this laboratory course is to improve the skills of the students in the following areas:
  • get acquainted with the materials, components and instruments in the area of electrical engineering, 
  • practice the designing of measurement setups, setting up the measurement, measuring and using the infrastructure of the laboratory,  
  • practice the evaluation and documentation of the measurement results.

  • Practical competence and skills in the selected fields of electrical engineering, experience with up-to-date measurement equipment.

    The topics of the measurements:

    Measurement 1: Building and testing simple electrical circuits
    Measurement 2: Designing printed circuit boards
    Measurement 3: Measurement of EMC phenomena
    Measurement 4: Measurement of electrical power
    Measurement 5: Investigation of transistor amplifiers
    Measurement 6:  Investigation  of  instrumentation  amplifiers
    Measurement 7: Investigation of ADC and DAC
    Measurement 8: System identification and control
    Measurement 9:  Investigation of analog phase locked loop
    Measurement 10: Investigation of a 900 MHz FSK transceiver/receiver
    Measurement 11: Logic controllers
