M1. Building and measuring a simple electronic circuit
Required knowledge
To successfully complete the measurement tasks, students need to possess knowledge of the
following fields:
- Characterization of real operational amplifiers (input/output offset voltage, offset current, slew rate, maximum output swing, frequency response of open loop gain).
- Characterization of basic OPA circuits (inverting and non-inverting amplifier): schematic, calculation of gain, frequency response (corner frequency, Bode-plot).
Course Materials
- Laboratory guide
- Report skeleton file
- Breadboard pictures
- Data sheet of TL082 OPA (you will use this kind of OPA to buid the circuit)
-
Supplementary materials to check the required questions:
- Basic OPA circuits _ part 1 (Dr. József Zoltai) [non-inverting and inverting amplifiers]
- Basic OPA circuits _ part 2 (Dr. József Zoltai) [integrator]
- Basic OPA circuits _ part 3 (Dr. József Zoltai) [comparator, Scmitt-trigger, waveform generator]
- Modles of OPAs (Dr. József Zoltai) [offset and bias currents/voltages, noise models]
