In the case of environment- and data-dependent software bugs it is almost impossible to track down the error after the program stopped. Tracking the software on-line and storing its states for later analysis can reduce the complexity of the problem. The goal of the project was to develop an ISA card for IBM PCs which can record the sequence of signatures generated by any program.
