We are seeking highly motivated students to try themselves on our thesis projects. Through these projects you learn about SoC development, deepen your understanding in logic design and verification, learn about steps of development.

Main tasks for the student:
  • Get familiar with color space conversion, alpha blending, CRC32 calculation (select one or bring your idea)
  • Get familiar with AMBA AXI-Stream protocol
  • Get familiar with functional verification principles, methods and metrics
  • Implement module performing the selected algorithm in Verilog/SystemVerilog
  • Implement selected algorithm in C for reference (with or without vector extensions)
  • Benchmark and comment performance difference between Verilog and C implementation in a system (provided)

Professional requirements:
  • Verilog/SystemVerilog knowledge
  • Passing selection interview at Arm
ARM Hungary offers Thesis Student Scholarship for the students working on this topic (see the attached PDF).
