EEG data analysis
Electroencephalography (EEG), magnetoencephalography (MEG) and electromyography (EMG) can provide detailed insight into the functioning of the central nervous system, and in turn, into brain function. While the diagnostic use of EEG tests can be traced back nearly a century, modern computing technology allows for a much broader use of the measurement data. However, this process brings with it the demand for ever better quality, more detailed and information-rich measurement data, as increasingly complex brain processes are analyzed.
Within the framework of this topic, students can become familiar with the process of processing EEG signals, starting from preprocessing and data cleaning, all the way to information extraction and inference / classification processes.
