ABSTRACT:
The paper presents a review of so called agent systems. Agent is a new 
paradigm of an intelligent system embedded in the environment of the 
global computer network. Considering that the fusion of the measurement 
and the global computer networks became already a reality and that 
measurement is a knowledge intensive, systems which can realize 
complicated and distributed metrological tasks are of growing importance.
